Learning Barn Terms and Conditions 

Liability

Your child will be in close contact with a range of animals. Although their safety is paramount, and we will do our upmost to keep your child safe, accidents can happen. We will not be held liable for any accidents or injuries which occur on the farm or property, when appropriate precautions have been taken.
 

Acceptable Behaviour

We understand that some children’s behaviour may appear as challenging because of additional needs and we will do our very best to deal with behaviours. However, if your child’s behaviour cuases disturbance or danger to themselves, others or the animals, we will have to ask you to collect your child. If your child’s behaviour continues, we reserve the right to request that they do not return to the farm. Please see our behaviour and restraint policy for further information on how we manage challenging behaviour. 

 

Payment

You are required to pay by the 1st of each month to ensure attendance. If payments are late we can refuse attendance to sessions or add a fine to the amount. If your sessions are being paid for by a school, you will be responsible to make payment if they fail to do so.

When you agree to book a slot, this slot is reserve on a term time, weekly basis, for youAny planned or unplanned term time absences will need to paid for in full and will not be refunded. We can sometimes reschedule the missed session in the same week, but this is subject to availability.

If the staff member running your session if unwell, they will give you as much notice as possible. You will be offered a session swap or a full refund. 
In the case of traffic, road works or any other blockages to reaching the farm, or any other incident which is out of our control, we will be unable to refund, but will try to reschedule in the same week, if possible.
If you wish to terminate sessions, you must give Antonia Stewart at least 3 weeks of written notice. This will apply after two trial sessions.


Loss and Damage
We cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of children’s property. This includes clothing, footwear, toys and any other belongings borught to the farm.
 

Drop off
You may drive down the track and to the carpark at maximum 5mph. Please drive no faster than 10mph on Mint Lane and be respectful towards our neighbours. If the speed limit is breeched on more than one occasion, we reserve the right to prohibit access to the farm via car.
You will need to wait with your child in the carpark until a staff member comes to collect them. Nobody may enter the stables, fields or interact with any animals unattended. If you are late, please call 07734348245 and someone will come to collect.
 

Late Pick Up
We run sessions back to back so please ensure that you pick up on time, as you will be delaying or intruding on another persons session. For any pickup later than 5 minutes, a fine of £1 per minute will apply.
